Over Shares on the FB

Let me preface this post by saying that I am in no way Miss Anti-PDA. I'm all about publicly holding hands, sharing little smooches, playful pats on the bums, and other tasteful-ish displays. Granted, I may turn a shade of red and try to not watch you if I catch you playing tonsil hockey at the coffee shop. Truth be told, I probably will watch you because, seriously, that's like a train wreck. One can't help but notice people that are all about getting it on in public.

As you may have noticed, many people have started using Facebook for their PDA moments. And I'm pretty much fine with that too. You know, announce that you're in a relationship or married to whomever. That's great! Be proud! Leave little sweet wall messages that say you love each other, you appreciate each other, you miss each other! Do it! By all means. It's sweet. If you want to announce to the world on Facebook that you call each other sweet butter cheeks, well then...okay. Do your thing!

Yesterday, however, I read a status update that went something like this:

"(Lady of my life), I promise to be better this time. I will be the man that you and your son need. I promise to never make this mistake again. Thank you for allowing me to come back into your life. I love you with all my heart."
And then I guess "the lady of his life" commented after this post and said "I know you will honey, I know."

Er...Was I supposed to be reading this? Was this meant as an email message that accidentally got posted for all to see? Or was this something the guy actually meant to say out loud to the "lady of his life" in a personal one on one conversation?

Like I said, I am not Miss Anti-PDA, but I thought this was a little bit of a slight over share? Do you agree?!? Or am I being too uptight here? Because... YIKES.

This is what the "hiding" option on FB is for. That couple are fucking losers.

No one cares about that mess. Facebook is not the place where you work out relationship issues... They need to cut that madness out.

Way overshare.

Today I heard about a guy in the UK who was an agent in whatever the UK "CIA" is called. He was fired because his wife posted things on her FB page about his whereabouts, which compromised his identity. Whoops.

Oh my goodness...such an overshare! I hate reading people's business...though, that doesn't stop me from reading people's juicy gossip! Hee hee.
